Donor Relations and Events Manager

Salary: $70,000-$75,000
Position Overview:
This dynamic role will manage all aspects of donor relations. The Donor Relations and Events Manager, in conjunction with the CEO, will activate a plan to meet or exceed annual fundraising goals including major gifts, mid-level gifts, recurring gifts, direct response campaigns, special events, and grant funding. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on strategist and leader with proven success in donor engagement, managing events and departmental administration, and building community awareness of the agency’s programs and advancing the agency’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Fundraising:
Assist the CEO in setting annual revenue goals; meet such goals by managing the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising plan with clear targets, objectives, and action tactics through various giving channels.
Develop and execute a plan for growth through the cultivation of donations and grants.
Relationship Building and Stewardship:
Generate revenue by identifying and researching potential donor prospects including foundations, individuals, and corporations; deepen engagements with existing donors to retain and upgrade their financial commitment.
In connection with the CEO and DARCC senior leadership, solicit, cultivate and steward potential donors.
In partnership with the CEO, develop and implement a major gifts strategy.
Work systematically and strategically to build and develop a robust portfolio of supporters capable of giving.
Events and Community Engagement:
Manage all fundraising event planning and execution, including development and oversight of timelines, coordination of internal staff and external vendors, and handling project management tasks related to fundraising events.
Comprehensively learn all aspects of DARCC, its programs, initiatives, and policies.
Act as a professional and accurate public representative for the organization, articulating DARCC’s mission and impact effectively.
Work cross-functionally with other teams and team members.
Department Management:
Maintain a high level of personal integrity with regard to donor personal information and conversations and engage in donor centric fundraising that aligns with DARCC’s overall goals and vision.
Oversee and enhance departmental processes and procedures; ensure departmental performance in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
Document all activities, maintain records, track data in accordance with organization protocols, licensure requirements, and grant reporting requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Measurable development experience and fundraising results.
Knowledge of event planning, media, marketing, public relations, and promotions.
Knowledge of the Dallas Metroplex philanthropic community.
Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is highly desirable.
Additional certifications in nonprofit management or fundraising are a plus.
Skilled and experienced in Microsoft Office Suite is required; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
A successful track record in managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to work with a variety of internal and external parties.
An implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives, successfully organizing project work, ensuring tasks are completed on time, and managing risks.

Job Specifics:
Work Setting: Hybrid virtual and remote schedule, at least 2 days in the office a week.
Schedule: Workday hours plus occasional evening and weekend hours required for development and fundraising events.
Occasional travel locally and regionally for events.
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
Lifting of items under 30 pounds.
