Episode 5 makes one thing clear. Generational patterns do not have to become your personality. Hannah opens up about why going home feels so complicated after her assault. Garrett also shares what it was like growing up around domestic violence. Their past still affects them, but it does not get to control what happens next.
“Sometimes breaking the cycle starts with recognizing that what felt “normal” was never healthy. You can love where you came from and still choose something different for yourself. You are allowed to unlearn harmful patterns and build relationships that feel safer. Your past may explain some of your patterns, but it does not have to become the blueprint for your future. ”
